The Kelowna Argus Apple Triathlon has been named the host of the 2026 Triathlon Canada National Championships for Sprint, Standard, and Standard Aquabike distances. This national-level competition will see the country’s leading age-group athletes converge on Kelowna’s picturesque lakeside course, highlighting the region as one of Canada’s top destinations for triathlon. Taking place August 9, 2026, age group athletes will have the chance to qualify to represent Age Group Team Canada at the 2027 World Championships in Hamburg, Germany. There are 3 qualifying spots per age category for the Sprint, Standard (individual) and Standard Aquabike events. Eligible athletes must claim their spot through Triathlon Canada after the event.
*No prior qualification is required to race in the National Championships at the Argus Apple Triathlon.

*Refund Policy: Athletes are offered the option to opt in to purchase the Optional Refund Insurance through Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program (RRERPP) during the registration process. The cost of this third-party program is noted during registration and you will be eligible for a refund if you need to cancel for reasons covered under the policy. With the addition of this option, The Apple Race Series has a no refund/no deferral policy in place to make sure our team is well prepared in advance to operate a premium event. *Registration Transfer Policy and Distance Changes:
Apple Triathlon registered athletes are able to transfer their entry to another individual until August 4th, 2026 or downgrade to a shorter distance until August 4th, 2026. Transfers to another athlete will have a $15 processing fee. Distance transfers to a shorter distance are not eligible for a refund of the price difference. Distance transfers to a longer distance will require payment of the price difference from the registered distance to the new distance pricing at the time of the change request.
*Deferral/Rollover Policy: The Apple Race Series events have a No deferrals/No Rollover policy in place.
*Event Cancellation Policy: The Apple Race Series in accordance with municipal and provincial authorities, as well as regional law enforcement, reserves the right to cancel or alter any of the events due to unforeseen circumstances such as, but not limited to weather events and related consequences (e.g. flooding, fires), hostile threats, highway closures mandated by provincial or other authorities, health and safety concerns. If cancellation of an event takes place, please follow instructions of the event officials and local law enforcement personnel. Your entry fee is non-refundable in the event the race is canceled due to adverse, inclement, or unsafe weather.
