This two loop course, starts and finishes in City Park and loops through the park at the half way mark. Fully stocked aid stations along the route to support participants and they take on breathtaking city and water views.
The single loop, certified half marathon course is one half of the marathon course making it the perfect choice for first timers or those looking to run a fast PB.
This race not only provides a great fitness challenge but also showcases the natural beauty and community spirit of Kelowna.
The 8K race is a scenic and exhilarating event where runners of all levels will enjoy a picturesque route that winds through Kelowna's charming cityscape, lush parks, and along the stunning Okanagan Lake shoreline. The route is flat and fast, making it accessible for both novice and seasoned runners.
The 2024 Apple Marathon is featuring the latest in real-time race tracking by providing Live Results via our partner Startline Timing.
Features Include:
Live Web Tracker - See times and current pace within seconds of a participant crossing each split point. Estimated times will be provided based on current pace.
Live Leaderboard - See who is winning via the Live Leaderboard. Top runners in each category will be displayed in real-time as they lead the way through the course.
Live Map Tracking - Participant locations will be plotted on the Interactive Course Map as progress is made on course. The position of each participant is estimated based on the most recent timing received from the bib read. NOTE: Participants do not need to carry their phones for this feature to work.

Join us for a day of fun and festivities on Saturday, September 28 and kick off your race weekend with the Family Fun Run! Pick up your race package and join the whole family on a run/walk through City Park.

Age Limit: None! Bring out the whole Family!
Registration Closes: Online registration will remain open on Saturday, September 28th until just before the race. You will be able to sign up from your smart phone until then as long as entry spots remain available.
Course Description: The Family Fun Run will start at the Marathon start line in City Park. Runners will run West toward the lake then turn right onto the Waterfront Promenade and run a clockwise loop around City Park, finishing back at the Marathon Start/Finish Line!
Join us in City Park for Package Pickup from 11am to 5pm. Bring the whole family out and enjoy the Event Expo from 11am to 5pm and the Family Fun Run starting at 2pm in City Park.
It's Race Day!
Line up in City Park and challenge yourself to the marathon, half marathon or 8km distance. All course will be fully marked and supported with Aid Stations along the route. Enjoy the post race festivities in City Park.
RACE START TIMES:
**Course time limit for the marathon is 6 hours. All full marathon athletes must start the second lap by 10:30AM.
**Participants may run with a stroller but will be required to start at the back of the corral.
The Kelowna Apple Marathon course begins at Kelowna City Park, taking runners north through downtown Kelowna on paved roads and bike paths before returning to City Park. The route then heads south along the Abbott Street bike path along Okanagan Lake, looping near Okanagan College, and follows the lake back to City Park. Once back in City Park, marathon runners will loop through by the race start to begin their second lap.
The marathon and half marathon course follow the same route. The marathon will complete two full loops.

The route then heads south along the Abbott Street bike path along Okanagan Lake, looping near Okanagan College, and follows the lake back to City Park. Half-marathon runners will finish at City Park in the same location as the race start.
The marathon and half marathon course follow the same route. The half marathon will complete one full loop.
The Kelowna Apple 8km course begins at Kelowna City Park, taking runners North through downtown Kelowna on paved roads and bike paths. Runners in the 8km distance will split from the Marathon/Half Marathon route at Richter St and Weddell Pl and will rejoin the Marathon/Half Marathon route at Bay Ave and Jones St. 8km runners will finish at City Park in the same location as the race start while Marathon/Half Marathon runners continue South.
