After careful consideration, all races at the Apple Triathlon set to take place on Sunday August 9, 2026, have been cancelled. 

With ongoing wildfires in neighbouring communities, fluctuating Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) readings reaching very high risk levels, and a commitment to civic responsibility, including not drawing on emergency resources already stretched by the fires, the decision was made to prioritize the safety of athletes, volunteers, and the residents of Kelowna. This decision was made in consultation with our stakeholders, medical provider, Triathlon Canada, & Triathlon BC.
